Nathan started his musical education at the age of twelve . He began his formal music training at the Los Angeles College of Music where he majored in drumset performance with an emphasis in jazz, studying various styles of music such as: afro-cuban, brazilian, jazz, rock, r&b, hip hop, and reggae. He completed the program with his associates degree and is continuing to pursue his studies at Cal State Northridge.
He has been playing professionally for almost ten years internationally, throughout the Marianas and California . As a session drummer and freelance instructor, he has taught private classes for the past five years and currently works in drum sales at Guitar Center - the world’s largest musical instruments retailer. Nathan has had the privelege of studying under some of
the world’s most prestigious drummers such as Joe Porcaro, Ralph Humphrey, Joey Heredia, Aaron Serfaty, Steve Pemberton, Tony Inzalaco, and Richie Garcia Gajate. A seasoned performer, Nathan’s passion lies in teaching students to lay a solid foundation of music they can build upon for the rest of their lives and sharing his love for drums along the way.
